Hiflexx Stretch Tent Repair Kit

The Hiflexx stretch tent repair kit consists of 32 pieces of fabric in various sizes (totaling approximately 1.5 m²) and a pot of glue to attach the fabric. The fabric is available in the same color as the stretch tents, so the repair is not noticeable.

Before carrying out the repair, there are a few important things to keep in mind:

  • Ensure a well-ventilated environment free of dirt.
  • Keep a sufficient distance from the glue with your head while using it.
  • Ensure an environment of +/- 10 °C.
  • Work only with a completely dry tent.

To carry out the repair, follow these steps:

  1. Lay the tent with the outside facing up.
  2. Make sure the surface to be glued is thoroughly cleaned with soap to remove dirt and dust. Wipe the cleaned surface with a damp cloth and then dry it with a dry cloth or paper. Let the tent surface air dry for another 10 minutes so the remaining moisture can evaporate.
  3. Take a repair patch and place it on the area to be repaired. Ensure that the tear does not exceed 3/4 of the diameter of the patch.
  4. Draw the outline of the patch on the tent with a pencil.
  5. Remove the patch from the tent and apply glue to the marked surface of the tent.
  6. Also apply glue to the underside of the patch (the patch may curl due to the glue, so place it on a flat surface).
  7. Let the two glued surfaces dry for 5 to 15 minutes, depending on the ambient temperature.
  8. Apply the patch parallel to the tear to be repaired.
  9. Let the glue dry for 24 hours before setting up the tent again.

Attention! The color of the fabric will slightly differ from the original color of the tent. To ensure good adhesion on a single-coated tent, a double-coated Triflexx fabric is used for the repair.
