Description
Sun Shade Sail - Triangular - 5 x 5 x 5 m - Acrylic
A sun shade sail is ideal for anyone seeking protection from the sun but at the same time wanting to enjoy the fresh air. It is made from durable materials and provides a high level of protection against UV radiation. A sun shade sail can protect your terrace, balcony or garden against the sun and is a beautiful addition to your outdoor space.
Durable acrylic with high colour-fastness
The sun shade sail is made from durable acrylic with a weight of 240 g/m². It is available in various sizes, shapes and colours (dark grey, light grey and desert sand), so that there is always a sun shade sail that matches your outdoor space. The colour-fastness of the material with a maximum score of 8 ensures that the acrylic has almost no discoloration. This means the sail looks attractive for longer and the colour does not fade quickly. Colours are retained for 5 years. The corners are fitted with multi-layer reinforcement, as a result of which the sail is extra sturdy and will not tear quickly and the D-ring in each corner ensures simple assembly.
Water-resistant, quick-drying, breathable and UV-resistant
The fabric achieved the maximum score on the spray test and is therefore waterproof against rainfall. This water resistance ensures that the sun shade sail dries quickly after a rain shower. The fabric is also breathable, which creates a pleasant environment to sit beneath. The sun shade sail also has a high protection factor against UV radiation (ultraviolet protection factor (UPF) van 50+).
Use and maintenance
The sun shade sail is suitable for semi-permanent use and can remain hanging outside for a large part of the year. We do however recommend that the sail is removed and stored during bad weather conditions such as high winds and storms in order to prevent damage. It is also important to clean or impregnate the sun shade sail every year to extend its lifespan. This means the sail remains protected against water and dirt. If the sun shade sail is maintained well, it will give you years of enjoyment.
One more tip: the ideal installation is to have a slope of approximately one metre between the high and low sides to allow the sail to cut through the wind and to allow water to run off it.
Wind load
The sun shade sail can withstand wind speeds up to 8 beaufort (74 km/h), depending upon its location and configuration. It is important to install the sun shade sail correctly to avoid damage.

As there are many possibilities for mounting the shade sail, no anchoring is included with this shade sail. Below are some anchoring options :
