Description
Cassette floor with click system and damping - Boards with pine wood
General
A cassette floor or heavy-duty floor is a floor construction made of modular panels or cassettes that can be easily and quickly installed and disassembled. Therefore, it is often used to create a temporary sturdy and level surface for events, exhibitions, trade shows, and the like, regardless of the terrain or substrate.
Furthermore, a cassette floor also protects the underlying ground or floor from damage caused by foot traffic, heavy equipment, or other loads. Often, the floor is equipped with recesses or channels to conceal, organize, and safely route electrical wiring for audiovisual equipment and other utilities.
In summary, a cassette floor is an excellent solution for outdoor events where a strong and horizontal surface is required.
Our cassette floor
Our cassette floor is a unique, extremely user-friendly, and fully self-developed system that has been aesthetically optimized. Unlike cassette floors from other providers, our floor has no visible screws on the top, providing a significant visual advantage. Thanks to the ingenious design of the individual components, no gaps can form between the floor panels, further enhancing efficiency during installation. The sound-damping properties are an essential additional asset. In short, our floor represents a revolutionary advancement that will shape the future of cassette floors.
Frame and beams made of aluminum
The beams (4 meters, 5 meters, or 6 meters) of our cassette floor are entirely made of anodized aluminum (25 µm layer thickness) with a wall thickness of 2.5 mm, making the floor lightweight and extremely strong. Thanks to cleverly designed profiles with unique built-in rubber dampers, our cassette floors can absorb shocks and tolerances. Moreover, these dampers significantly reduce noise when guests walk over the floor. We are the only party on the market offering a floor with damping.
The long sides of the cassette have a groove on one side and a tongue on the other. In the middle, there is a supporting center beam. All three beams extend the full length of the cassette. The short sides feature a side plate made of galvanized magnelis steel, a robust 4 mm thick material that is durably protected against wear and corrosion. These side plates fit perfectly into the channels of the beams.
The profile of our beams is entirely self-designed and thus unique in the market. It consists of two side channels and a central channel. The central channel provides just enough space for the side plates of two adjacent cassettes, seamlessly connecting them. At the edges of the floor, the side plate of the floor part fits into the outer side channel of the beam. Thanks to this ingenious system, you achieve a perfectly fitting connection without gaps, precise and straightforward alignment of the various cassettes. Furthermore, installation is highly time-efficient because the potential margin of error (and thus the chance of starting over) is practically reduced to 0 thanks to the unique mounting system.
Boards
The boards in the floor are made of strong and durable pine wood, PEFC certified, meaning the wood comes from sustainably managed forests. Pine wood is known for its strength and long lifespan (10-15 years) and is very strong and durable. Therefore, it is ideal for flooring applications. We can also provide other flooring materials such as plywood, depending on specific needs. If desired, wider boards or even single-piece boards can be mounted in a cassette.
Three self-designed C-profiles are mounted on the wooden boards. This means the boards do not need to be screwed into the beams but can simply be clicked into place. The click system also makes it extremely easy to replace boards or temporarily remove them, for example, to safely lay water or electrical pipes. Thanks to the convenient set of spoons, you can detach a board in a fraction of a second. This way, you can also equip boards with a hole for driving pegs through or, if necessary, equip boards with a built-in power outlet.
